There are almost 4,000 people in the public, the project is a year and two months old, so we will record for history the sequence of its name so that they don’t bother me at conferences🙃
So, in an interview, I once said that an English slurred spelling, like webello, came to my teammate’s mind when creating its name. I also teased him that it reads like “fuck” and means something like an imposing address to a dude when he’s in the woods. Like: “bro!”
Well, why did you then, after the command, leave it all like that?
There are many reasons for this:
- I still didn’t leave. The name was Russified, and the English spelling was changed in word order.
- Since I love languages and all sorts of associations, I saw good potential in this phrase, namely:
- Previously, newspapers disseminated news; now their source is the Internet, also known as www, or simply the web. There was the “yellow press”, with all sorts of intrigues, scandals, investigations, the lives of stars and the numbers of prostitutes. And now there is the “yellow web” with fake news, casino beating schemes and Sportloto polls. Yellow web is a product of traffic arbitrage, its brainchild, hahaha))
- Abroad, there is a well-known Yellow Pages directory with a list of all, all, all organizations. Let’s draw a parallel again: the WWW consists of HTML pages, page — page. The public is being created as a technical reference book on automation in arbitration. Plus, you can write with such a brand in burzh; with English writing there are no negative connotations.
- The Internet for an arbitrator is a place of work, a second home. And the phrase “yellow house” used to be used to call mental hospitals)) This means that without a degree of game in the arithmetic there is nowhere)
- Web is short for webmaster. And a webmaster is an arbitrator. And the arbitrator is me) Therefore, the name can be personified, tried on, which I, as a creative person, definitely like.
Having said all this, it became clear that there was rock and roll in this. To completely convince me, I rememberedLetov’s old song “Yellow Press”. That’s it, let’s go!
PS: Now, if you have any questions about naming, you can send them via the link, it’s convenient! ☝
